Non-Religious or Humanist Funerals
including 'Celebrations of Life'

Whilst for some people faith is a great comfort when a loved one dies, others prefer to choose a funeral service with little or no religious content at all. These types of funeral services may be variously described as person-centred, celebrations of life, atheist, humanitarian, civil, humanist, non-denominational or just non-religious.
At Paul Williams Independent Funeral Directors, we are able to provide a range of non-religious Funeral Services according to the family’s wishes, and relevant to the life of your loved one. The independent funeral celebrants we engage tailor the service to your requirements, and help you choose appropriate music and perhaps readings you may want to include or read out yourself.
Choosing this type of service very much allows you to decide what is included or not.
It is important to note, that although you may choose a celebrant rather than a vicar or priest to conduct the actual service, some celebrants will include religious elements if you wish, and others will not. You may, for example, wish to respect those attending who do have faith by including a reading from the Bible or saying together the Lord’s Prayer. We understand that sometimes there is no simple answer to such decisions, and so we are here to advise you in such circumstances.
Whatever your beliefs, Paul Williams Funeral Directors can advise and guide you through these difficult decisions at such a distressing time. Please call 0161 796 6018.
